- Who are the Orlando Magic biggest rivals?
They will play once on ESPN (March 3 vs. Miami) and three times on NBA TV (Feb. 7 at Houston; March 17 at Phoenix; and March 29 vs. Oklahoma City). There are also no bad seats within the arena and your experience of taking in a live, professional basketball game will be a great one. As a visitor to Orlando, you can take advantage of an organized trip to watch Magic games at the Amway Arena. Catching a Magic game continues to be a popular event in Orlando and the atmosphere is welcoming and exciting for all of its attendees.
Although there will certainly be a solid amount of Heat fans, there should be a solid home court for the Magic. The team says “most” credit cards will be accepted wherever the tickets are sold. Feb. 9 vs. Philadelphia 76ers
At the tail end of 2017, the Orlando Magic will be facing defending division champion Washington Wizards. The Toronto core is still intact and DeMar DeRozan appears to be one of the best shooting guards in the league. If Kyle Lowry can remain healthy, the Raptors can continue their reign among the Eastern Conference’s elite. In recent years, the Magic have struggled in the month of December and playing the Warriors on the first does not bode well to start the month. The Magic have an easy stretch after Golden State, but getting a win here would be massive.
No matter how the season looks at this point, it will be bittersweet to see the season come to an end. During a lengthy March homestand, the Orlando Magic will have another nationally televised game against the Philadelphia 76ers. Like the Pacers game, there will be plenty of young talent on display.
The Orlando Magic begin the 2016-2017 NBA season at home against the Miami Heat on Wednesday, 26 October at 07:00 PM ET.
But it is still great to see the best player on the planet. Charlotte took a big step back last season and are going to be looking to return to the postseason. All-Star guard Kemba Walker is still in town and the Hornets also drafted Florida State Seminolesguard Dwayne Bacon to bring another needed offensive boost. They are playing at home and the Amway Center should be packed.
The Lakers have young talent, but they will likely struggle next season. Ball and the rest of the young Lakers core will have plenty of NBA experience by January and both teams will have a rough idea of how their season will play out. With all of the headlines surrounding the Ball family, it is no surprise this game will be a must watch.

Now that Orlando has the bragging rights, the team will have to continue to shock their in-state rivals. Here is a summary of the Magic's rest days and national TV games, along with their full NBA schedule. It is the first time in a while James makes only one appearance in Orlando.
On paper, Miami should be a playoff team led by veteran point guard Goran Dragic and Whiteside. Your favorite teams, topics, and players all on your favorite mobile devices. They lack any all stars and, despite playoff ambitions, have not compete for the Playoffs in four years. It is not a coincidence then that the national broadcast partners were not ready to put the Magic in the spotlight. This game comes at a nondescript time in February and will not have a lot of attention paid to it by casual fans.

They never had anyone who could matchup well with LeBron James, and he just runs roughshod over the team. Maybe that changes with a rim protector back in the paint and Aaron Gordon sliding to small forward to shadow James . And James always brings a special buzz to the arena every time he arrives in Orlando. Magic fans certainly do not forget James for the 2009 Playoffs. The Orlando Magic are not going to be a team in the limelight this year. This is a team that will have to work largely in anonymity and without much national attention.
As good as Nikola Vucevic was on the offensive end, even putting in some big games against Howard, the Magic never had anyone who could impact the game defensively like him. Howard has moved on to his third team in five seasons since leaving Orlando as he will play for the Atlanta Hawks this year. His struggles to find his rhythm and regain his stellar play from his Orlando days in Houston flamed out almost completely as the Rockets nearly missed the Playoffs last year.
By extending their relationship Disney and the Magic are also re-establishing their commitment to support the Central Florida community through ongoing charitable efforts. Walt Disney World Resort and the Orlando Magic are continuing to strengthen their relationship through the renewal today of their community sponsorship agreement. Prior to last season, the Magic lost 12 straight games to the Wizards. This past year Orlando managed to split the season series with Washington. There is also a few reunion-type storylines to follow in this game as well. Terrence Ross and Bismack Biyombo will be facing their old team and Ibaka will be playing against his former teammates in Orlando.
The 76ers are projected to be one of the league’s most improved teams. With more young talent than any other roster, Philadelphia just needs to stay healthy. Joel Embiid proved he is an elite talent and Markelle Fultz should solve their issues at the point guard position. Regardless of Orlando’s record when this game takes place, this should be seen as a victory on paper. Orlando needs to take advantage of weaker teams if they want any shot at the postseason next year. This season, expectations may be lower for the Magic, but they are certainly higher for the Heat.
The Magic traded for Ibaka on draft night and remained aggressive throughout the rest of the offseason in upgrading the roster. On paper, both the Magic and Pacers will appear to be lottery teams. Still, both feature young talent that may develop into stars in a few seasons. Players like Myles Turner and Aaron Gordon should get their time to shine in this contest.
That should create an interesting buzz in the arena that afternoon. Minnesota is going to be viewed as the “it” team this year (as will the Utah Jazz who follow Minnesota into town Nov. 11). The Timberwolves will get their first ever Christmas game this year. Both the Jazz and the Wolves are following rebuild plans like the Magic and have seemingly leaped ahead. Last year though, the Magic beat both in Orlando to hold some form of superiority.
The focus though when the season closes out will be either on the Playoffs or on what went wrong and where the Magic go next. It will be a long journey to get here, but one the Magic will reach in time. Those are the questions that we cannot even begin to answer now. By the time this game comes around, that question will be completely answered fully. Oladipo usually has a strong kick to close the season and everything will be in full overdrive when this game comes around. This game will be about much more than Oladipo’s return.
The Heat added versatile forward Kelly Olynyk and drafted athletic big man Bam Adebayo. The improved depth along the frontcourt should help take the load off Hassan Whiteside. Orlando’s first home preseason game is Thursday, October 5th, against the Dallas Mavericks.
